It used to be that Delano used to have a life of its own with the constant tremble and shake from the massive iron work horses of the Lehigh Valley Railroad which were so prevalent. Long gone are those days, and now it seems like Mayberry, RFD most of the time. There’s still quite a bit that happens, however, and below are some videos of those events as we are able to be there.
On May 25, 2015 as part of their Memorial Day ceremonies, members of the Isganitis-Heckman-Messerschmidt American Legion Post 973 of Quakake held a wreath laying ceremony at the Delano War Memorial. We were there to record it although the sound quality isn’t great. The American Legion, as well as the VFW, provide a lot of support for America’s Veterans and we always encourage folks to recognize and support those organizations for the fine work that they do.
